After-School Rehearsal Tuesday, 12/10/13 until 4:30, band room/parking lot. All Christmas parade participants EXCEPT for beginners.
Thursday, 12/12/13: Christmas Concert. All band members-- this is a required performance and is a part of the semester grade. Call time: beginners, 6:00. All others: 5:30. Concert time: 6:30. Admission: One new, unwrapped toy for the Moody Fire Dept toy drive. Location: MHS gym. Uniform: Band Polo, khakis. We will not meet at the band room first. Report directly to the high school gym with your instrument and all necessary equipment and music. We need help transporting equipment to and from the high school gym before and especially after the concert! Large cardboard boxes needed (with volunteers) for transport of toys to fire dept.
Saturday, 12/14/13: Christmas Parade. Marching members, auxiliary members, and other band members who have followed through on necessary paperwork and uniform requirements. Call time: 3:00 pm, band room. Parade begins at 5:00. Pickup from band room at 6:30. All participants MUST ride the bus to and from the parade with the band. Dismissal is from band room only. Santa hats required (you provide your own). Non-players, please bring large bags of candy.
Tuesday, 12/17/13: Band Boosters, 6:30 pm. Queen of Hearts meeting. All hands on deck!
Thursday, 12/19/13: Last day to order band sweatshirts/hoodies for those who would like to place orders. (not required). Forms available in band room. Delivery is in January after school resumes.
Friday, 12/20/13: School dismisses at 12:00 noon. Do not let your child come home without an instrument to practice during the holidays! Lost and found bin will be emptied and taken to charity. Be sure you have no items remaining in the bin. Cubbies should be cleaned out completely. No personal items left in the band room.
Saturday, 12/21/13: Tuba Christmas. See Dr. Sargent for details.
