Dear Moody Band Parents and Guardians:
Our concert band will be performing at state performance assessment at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 2 at Gadsden City High School. The bus will depart the band room at approximately 11:30 am. Before returning to Moody, we will stop at Stevie B’s Pizza for an early dinner in Gadsden, compliments of the Moody Band Boosters, and will return to the band room no later than 5:00 pm. We ask that students have rides ready at the band room no later than 5:00 pm. There is some threat of severe weather tomorrow, so if MHS, MJHS, and SCCBOE personnel deem a change of plans necessary for the safety of our students, we will make every attempt to notify you immediately.
Students should be prepared to wear the band uniform, including Under-Armor shorts, band t-shirt, shoes, long black socks, and other required items to the event. Students should bring a change of clothes for wearing after our performance and on the return trip to Moody. Any instrument needs, including reeds, valve oil, mallets, and sticks, should be obtained before the trip. If photos are desired, order forms are available at www.moodyband.org.
Please complete and sign the medical release form given to your child so he/she has permission to travel with us. Return the form to the band room by 8:00 am on Friday, March 2.
